Find the real problem
I use interviews, feedback, analytics, workflow mapping, and existing-product evidence to understand what is actually creating friction.
About me
I’m Dana Forough Dabagh, a product designer with 5+ years of experience across healthcare, insurance, and enterprise products. I turn complex requirements and fragmented systems into experiences people can understand and use with confidence.
My story
I have always been drawn to the “why” behind things: how parts connect, where a process breaks down, and what makes information easier to understand. That curiosity eventually became a career in UX and product design.
At Canada Life, I have worked on responsive group-benefits experiences within a regulated environment, collaborating with product, business analysis, research, content, engineering, QA, and accessibility partners. My work has included hundreds of Jira tickets and major redesigns spanning medical claims, estimates, account information, and supporting workflows.
Earlier, at Dialogue, I designed healthcare and B2B experiences and conducted research into the tools employees used to manage customer accounts. Across both organizations, my role has often been to make a complicated service feel coherent without ignoring the business and technical systems behind it.
How I work
I use interviews, feedback, analytics, workflow mapping, and existing-product evidence to understand what is actually creating friction.
Information architecture, terminology, entry points, and handoffs can matter as much as the interface itself.
I collaborate with engineering, accessibility, content, and QA so the intended experience survives implementation.
Current direction
I’m an admitted graduate student in the Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) program in Digital Media Design at Harvard Extension School. My studies include web application development, UX engineering, interactive prototyping, and creative AI.
I’m especially interested in how AI can improve accessibility and reduce the cost of making complex information usable. That interest is informing current work on tools for transforming inaccessible PDF forms into more accessible, code-based experiences.
My front-end knowledge also helps me prototype ideas, communicate with developers, and evaluate how design decisions behave beyond the Figma file.
